    Thank you so much

I just want to say thanks to the Lubuntu team. I have a few boxes for linux and I'm always looking for a lightweight dist that will generally have a bigger mainstream to keep up with things (like Ubuntu base, lubuntu the lightweight). I had been using a stripped version of mythbuntu for awhile (very lightweight removed the myth part myself) but that was annoying me, so went to Xubuntu, but was having issues with that and it's not so much lightweight anymore.

This dist has been amazing. I absolutely love it. Normally I go with LTS releases but I'll give up 5 years support for this kind of lightweight/usability. Thanks for your hard work. Much appreciated.

(Things I love, no pulse, lightweight, minimalistic, simple/clean, etc.)

I do have one question with no 5 year LTS and I know for me ubuntu had non lts releases that take a few months to stabilize. How often do you recommend upgrading. Waiting till that 17th/18th month and just going up 1 version? Or what?

    Re: Thank you so much

I have been using Lubuntu since 11.04 and am not concerned about LTS versions. I update (re-install a new version) very shortly after its release. So essentially I am downloading and re-installing every six months or so. I have two versions on the same machine so I am dual booting (Lubuntu 12.04 and 12.10). It makes it easy for me to iron out any problems in the new vwersion while still maintaining the previous version. That generally takes less than a month. Not sure if that answers your question, but that is how I do it.

Yeah about a month after release. Thanks. So 12.10 is smooth and stable?

Yup, I'd have said so. Or at least it is here.
