In case she really need to buy an actual CD go here: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Desktop CD.

Check again the link for the buying option. There's only one version there: Desktop Edition 32bits.
There are options to buy more than one CD, but I think that just one will do ("Single CD").

Here's a place (i think i once ordered one from them a long time ago and recall they were very reliable) you would want 12.4.2 (the latest iso for the 12.4 version)

Look up a Linux User's Group (lug) in your city. You can usually get free disks from your local lug.
