The only bug I'm running into right now is homerun does not acknowledge newly installed applications during a type-search unless you do one of two things. 1 - restart, or 2 - killall homerunviewer. Other than that, it's a Unity-like layout that's faster, more configurable, and on KDE. Win.

    Thanks. I'll probably give it a try for fun. For now I'm perfectly happy with the default launcher (because it is searchable and lists installed programs in case I want to browse) + Cairo dock.

    Speaking of which, I wonder if there's an easy way to change things in KDE (for example, installing the Homerun launcher), and then revert back to the old settings? Maybe it would be sufficient to just rename the .kde directory.
