    monitoring a thread

Apart from email notifications, is there no way of monitoring one's posted threads. Once posted even notification checkbox seems to be unavailable when editing.

(Clarity on the latter statement please) So if you forget to subscribe when you post the thread you can not do so once message has been posted?

I never subscribe a thread. My way of monitoring threads I have posted in is:
Search --> Advanced Search --> user ID --> Enter

or if you are not logged in,
Search --> user ID --> Answer to random question --> Enter

However, if you mean 'Real' monitoring (automatic notification for each update), then I'm afraid subscription is the only way.

I think you can do so using "Thread Tools" link above the top post at any thread page.

Not sure if it is not available for users with less than 25 posts. You can confirm that

I do the same thing as varunendra, make sure you are looking for Threads and not Beans though.

I use subscriptions that are viewable from my UserCP. I don't set it to send me emails, though.
