The focus in the activity stream is not on the thread title. To me, on a support forum like this, the thread title is generally the most important thing. In the activity stream, the thread title is mashed between the user name and the forum its posted in and so is not easy to quickly glance at. I just want a list of thread titles so that I can scroll through them and find topics that interest me.

About the Subscribed threads.....why is this in a menu? Isnt Ubuntu trying to rid itself of menus?

What's wrong with the subscribed threads? Depending on your settings they should show up if you click on the "settings" link at the top of the page.

Also, the Quick Links menu isnt on every page, so sometimes if I want to see my subscribed threads I have to go back to the main forum page where I have the Quick Links menu.

I definitely find myself using this forum less than I used to....
There is a Quick Links menu now in all areas of the forum, the menu in the activity page area doesn't contain all of the options available in the main one.

If there weren't menus then there would be 30 links across the page, this is no different to the old menu. There might be different things in the menu's - but menu's there were and menu's there are, that will not be changing.

What has Ubuntu software and the way it works got to do with this forum? If Ubuntu is trying to get rid of menu's then they're not doing a very good job - they are just in a different place.

I noticed with Chromium Version 27.0.1425.0 (185065) that I have in openSUSE
The advanced editor tools are missing here at Ubuntu
Now we have the same vB forum at openSUSE and Chromium is fine there.

Chromium in Ubuntu and or Mint is fine though. As is Chrome
    Ubuntu 18.04

The advanced editor options that are in this screenshot ? - which are available in Reply with Quote, Adv Reply and Go Advanced - they are missing from Quick Reply, just as they always were.

Or maybe they are only missing from it when using chromium or chrome - I'd not know, I never use them I'm afraid.

I don't think that comparing missing things from one forum to another is particularly useful though - when I went to the opensuse one (not sure which one) there seemed to be a whole lot of useful things missing, we obviously want to put different things for our users

I'm running chromium 25.0.1364.160 Ubuntu 13.04 (25.0.1364.160-0ubuntu1b1), and as you can see by the screenshot all the options are here.

    Yes they are for me

I wasn't trying to be funny by my comment earlier
But it is odd (perhaps I didn't explain it very well)

I've just spotted a small flaw.

Looks fine for me, but I'm also browsing in a window on firefox. Resizing the window does nothing.

Does anyone else see it like that?

It looks like it may be a problem with whatever you are using to change the look of the forum, as it looks OK here, I'm running Raring, with Chromium and the default theme
