Help - Software Center will not stay open - Getting warnings

This problem is SOLVED. I tried to mark it as such, but I am not given the option in "thread tools".

I'm not sure how to describe all this but here goes:

I tried to get a pdf viewer that would allow me to print. The one I chose has a price of $0.00. So I clicked "buy". This then went to another screen about setting up an account. So I thought "heck with it, I will find something else" When I closed out of this screen I get an error (? sorry unknown) and now the Software Center will not open. It opens to a white screen and immediately goes away.

I'm having similar trouble with the update manager I will try to post a screen shot:

I attached the screen shot. I hope you can find it.

    Thanks

OK. So I went into system setting to see if I could figure something out. And this happened: See screen shot that is attached:

And I did restart the computer previously. No change!

    Well, the error message says
Malformed line 59 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list
Please open the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+t), run
    Code:
    grep '^[^#]' /etc/apt/sources.list{,.d/*}
    and post the output here

What you see above is exactly what I see in the terminal after I hit enter.

Also for whatever reason I cannot copy and paste the command lines into the terminal. I have done this before, but it will not do it now.

It's good for my typing though

What happens if you do 'sudo apt-get update' and 'sudo apt-get upgrade' in terminal?

Re: Help - Software Center will not stay open - Getting warnings

    Code:
    /etc/apt/sources.list:deb http://archive.canonical.com/ partner
    /etc/apt/sources.list:deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ partner
    /etc/apt/sources.list:deb http://arcive.canonical.com/ precise partner
    /etc/apt/sources.list:deb-src http://arcive.canonical.com/ precise partner
If these lines actually are in your /etc/apt/sources.list as opposite to you having copied them wrong then this is the problem. Remove the first two and add missing h in the 3rd and 4th. You should get
    Code:
    deb http://archive.canonical.com/ precise partner
    deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ precise partner
To edit the file, press Alt+F2 and enter gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
