    Compiz Blur Windows Missing

    Howdy!

I'd like to enable blur windows for gnome-terminal, but blur windows is missing from the compiz settings editor. I've install the extra compiz settings, but still no blur windows. It's not that it's there but unchecked, it's simply not there.

In the newest version of Compiz, some plugins are disabled:

    Disabled Features

In order to complete support for OpenGL|ES, some plugins were not (yet) ported and have been disabled for now. Those are: animationaddon, bicubic, blur, colorfilter, cubeaddon, gears, group, loginout, reflex, thumbnail, stackswitch, wallpaper, trip. However, those are only 13 out of 84 plugins. We welcome patches to revive the disabled plugins.

In this case, does disabled mean completely not present? I does one re-enable (de-disable? ) a given plug in?

I am seeing motion blur in the CCSM under effects and I have plugins from the software center installed.

Right. Motion Blur is there, but Blur Windows is missing and I can see no way to enable it.

Some plug-ins are no longer maintained or discontinued due to obsolescence and developer workload. The link I found for the package has been disabled.

Is there any other way to get the behavior of blurring the transparent background of terminal windows?
