Gaz 6 will not detect SSD in bios

I just purchased a Plextor M5 Pro 256 SSD, for the life of me I can not get the BIO to detect the drive. I have ACHI enable, but I am on the BIO's firmware that was at release (2010). I have been able to find updates from other company's like sanger and clevo but I was wondering if there is a location that I can get an official System76 bios. OR if there is someone out there that has had this issue and knows of some way to fix this?

So I have done some reading that removing the CMOS battery may help. I am not really wanting to do this unless there is no other option as it seems it located under the keyboard.

I am at this point thinking that a BIOS update is the best thing to do. So I guess its still back to the original question of where can I get a new BIO's?

There are no BIOS updates for the GazP6. Is the SSD recognized by any other computers? It's possible it's just a dud drive.

Nope it works find in every other system I tested in. From what I have read sanger np8130 (The same model) needed bios updates for some ssd's.

We don't have any updates for it. My guess is that it simply isn't compatible with the Gazelle. We typically recommend either Crucial or Intel SSDs.

Sucks because I have a SSD that I can not return that as far as specs go should have worked. So I guess its try and sale it or have a 200$ + paper weight.
