    Exclamation Pantheon causing problems

    Hi

I run Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, with gnome-classic installed.

I installed Pantheon from the PPA, but I faced the following problems:

    1. When I choose Pantheon to load, the screen goes blank. After a few minutes, I opened terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) the border appears, but nothing else. Only the background image with the borders (Terminal and Shut Down Dialog Box).

    2. I removed Pantheon (sudo apt-get remove Pantheon). It removes some stuff, but Pantheon is still in the log-in list.

    3. When I came back to Gnome (Gnome-Classic) the desktop icons disappeared. I made the icons come back (using default file manager to manage desktop) but the Desktop shows the Home Folder instead of Desktop. I tried using 'nano' to change the '~/.config/user-dirs.dirs' file, but it doesn't seem to be the problem.

Please help me fix the problems!
    Thanks
    Kartik
