yes you probally want to save then burn. after you save it you may want to check the md5sum. with windows you can download fciv.exe http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290 . the md5sums are under MD5SUM for each iso you can download http://releases.ubuntu.com/.

i did download and burn the iso 12.10. with IMGBurn, i did not do the check , is that really necessary? If i use it it will be live dvd, mot installede.
