First off, I tried this:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...46&postcount=9
Which doesn't work for me.
Anyways, I was removing files for a program that I thought was removed, but was actually still installed. I was trying to start over from scratch, and I noticed that purge wasn't always removing the folders. I found this out too late, and now I can't do anything with apt-get or dpkg because it throws an error every single time.
This is a pastebin of ALL the commands that I have done in trying to resolve this. However, the problem is occuring because I removed stuff from "/var/lib/postgresql", "/run/postgresql", "/etc/postgresql".
The bottom of that list accurately reflects the steps in Gazneth's steps, but I severely screwed this up, and I can't figure out how to fix it.Code:andrew@server:~/Downloads$ sudo apt-get purge postgresql- Reading package lists...
