    Hard Drive appearing and disappearing

Very new to linux but having fun with it. I've searched all over for a solution to this to no avail. I have 3 internal drives - boot drive, 2TB NTFS drive, and 1TB NTFS drive. I have them mounted to disk2(2TB) and disk1(1TB). My disk1 keeps appearing as mounted then disappearing sporadically. While it is visible, I can copy to and from the drive normally. I can't seem to get a handle on this. I thought it could be an intermittent problem with the drive but after removing it and placing it with another computer, it performs perfectly.

Hoping someone can help. If you need log files, let me know, but you will need to tell me how to get them.

    Thanks

Do you mean "placing it in another computer" perhaps?

Anyway, the first thing I would be checking is the cables, and the connectors. Do things like
    try another cable

swap the cables between your drives without changing which connector each drive is plugged into, and see if the problem migrates with the cable.

plug it in to a different connector on the board, if you can, and see if the problem goes away.
