ATI Radeon 6890 troubles

Hello everyone,

I have been using Ubuntu actively on my laptop for the past few years. Suddenly decided to migrate my whole system on Ubuntu. Ever since, I am lagging horribly in games, and having problems with everything that is video related. I have tried 3 Linux distribution, see if the problem would be fixed, and nothing! What am I missing there?

Issues are, games have many relics, videos are slow, windows dosent wiggle correctly, and when I go into system details, my video driver is unknown, I have tried

I get something like, fglrx tool missing, went on ubuntu software, and installed fglrx updates, still nothing!!

Anyone can help me?

The drivers you linked are old.

The best people to ask are the linux amd community(maintainers of the wiki), since they are experts in this subject, many years ago i had a lot of problems installing my new(now old) ati hd 4850, then they came along and helped me.
