    Not Available in US

I have uploaded a 5 minute video to UbuntuOne.

Nothing special, public video on some share site.

The public link works fine, I have tried it with a friend of mine but another friend in the US gets the message that the media is restricted.

Are there restrictions on video content being shared abroad.

Not that I know of. UbuntuOne is basically like DropBox in that it just stores files, I do not believe it modifies them. Are you sure the original video was not regionally restricted?

No, same file opened fine in dropbox but cable company gave some message about restricted file on UbuntuOne.

When you say 'regionally restricted', I know DVDs have region codes but this was an ordinary MP4 originally obtained from a web link.

It would still depend where you got it originally.

Is it on your friends work or personal machine? If the workplace, could ubuntuone be triggering whatever filtering they may have?

Never heard of that with ordinary video files.

Anyway, same file opened fine with dropbox, weird.
