Bootup is slow. Programs are taking a very long time to open up, and the sysinfo app reports my CPU at 1400MHz while it should be 2700MHz (3.2GHz w/turbocore). Oddly, battery is draining like a madman, but I suspect this is a question for another thread. System is pretty newly installed.

Just some things about the OS:
Code:
GNOME 3.6.0 (Unity)
KERNEL 3.5.0-23-generic
XORG VERSION 1.13.0
A couple things about my Lenovo n586 Laptop
Code:
AMD 4400m APU w/ Radeon 7520G
5400 rpm harddrive
8GB 1600MHz CAS 9 RAM
Proprietary Driver info
Code:
ATI Fire GL
Broadcom STA Wireless
Also, I installed laptop tools and Jupiter, but everything is set to max performance.

Is there any way I can fix this?
