    Font Line space issue

Hi to everyone, I have installed Xubuntu 12.04 on my laptop with a 64bit processor.
I have some problem with the font line space, after I have changed the font type for the first time. The font generally look very well in the whole DE but in some software like skype or several firefox pages looks very bad, like if there is a negative line space. Anyone can help me? How can I do to change this line spacing?

Edit: image of how the text look.

    Re: Font Line space issue

Confirming similar problem with font spacing, not in Firefox, but in Office and other major programs like Thunderbird. In some fonts, interestingly not all, the spacing is too close. I'm using Kubuntu 12.04. Any input on this would be really appreciated, it's a very annoying issue which makes text formatting highly problematic.
