    Greetings,
P.S. I saw the Pulse Audio update in yesterdays downstream. It didn't work however until I installed the new kernel.
Edit: Sound is working with the new kernel.

Why bother? It would be coming down automatically in your 13.04 update manager within the next few days anyway...these guys just like to jump on these things right away

Or are you planning on adding it on to a previous version of ubuntu such as 12.04 or 12.10 and want to get the 3.8 kernel? If that's the case, i am sure someone here can outline how to add it...

Thanks for the reply, I suspected that might be the case.
As to adding it on to a previous ubuntu, I have 12.04 and would be
interested in updating the kernel. I have read a lot of posts
that resulted in problems from doing that, so some guidance would
    be gratefully appreciated.

I do plan on installing 13.04 when it is released, so it may be
    better to wait?
