Macbook air 1,1 (2008) something strange. Help!

I am sorry for my poor english.

I want to use UBUNTU on my old macbook air 1,1 2008 original.
    But it's not easy.

    1. I can't install ubuntu by usb installer.
(Fortunately I can install ubuntu by usb dvd combo not apple's super drive.)

2.Bcm4312 wifi. I can't fix it by upgrading firmware.
And usb wlan card is very slow.

3.Touchpad is strange. One finger or two fingers scroll is not available.

4.Fan noise. I searched fan control method and found smc.
But it's for 11.10 not 12.04 or 12.10. Is it possible?

5.Speaker is not available on 12.10 and only possible on 12.04

How to make USB installer for mba 1,1?
How to fix wlan, touchpad and speaker?
How to control fan speed manually?
Is there anyone to help me?
    Thanks.

    HEyjeehyun !

Can you give us a little feedback since february please ?
Are you still running ubuntu on your MAB ?

I got the same MBA running snow leopard and looking for a full feedback to know if it "worth" the try to dual boot.

Is performances better than OS X ?

Try mint 15 xfce if you really want linux.
    It solves most problem.
But it looks a little ugly.
And I don't know whether wifi works.

You can try downgrading kernel for older hardware support, best kernels for that are 3.2.0, 3.0.0 and 2.6(most used).
