Python 2.7 vs python 3.3 (or 3.2)

Hi!!
Well, I want to learn Python and I saw that Ubuntu 12.10 have this two version of Python, what is the differences between them?
I read a little before ask here, and many people recomend 2.7 over 3.X why ? Isn't 3.X the best (or at least the mnost updated) version of Python?

I would say learn and use python 3.x. Some features of 2.x were/are slow to get into the 3.x branch but otherwise python 2.7 is not being developed anymore.
