HDMI Stopped on Only One Device

Hi all,
My laptop stopped displaying on my 27" Samsung monitor (using HDMI). However, when I plug it into my Sony TV, it works no problem. It won't even detect the monitor in the display settings.
Running 12.04 with all the updates.
Anyway to see what the problem is and fix?

Okay, so I think this issue was a result of a kernel update. I updated 12.04 and I lost the ability to display on my computer monitor via HDMI. A couple of days ago I updated Ubuntu again, and another kernel update came down the line, and I regained the ability to display on my monitor.
That must be it...
