12.10 dual boot on a Samsung NP550P5C possible?

I've just placed an order for the Samsung NP550P5C loaded with windows 8 but I need to get Kubuntu 12.10 on it ...is that even possible? Any suggestions on how to go about it without 'bricking' it?

I cancelled the order for the Samsung (and bought an ASUS K55VD instead) since the Samsung appeared to come with it's own UEFI problems..let alone trying to get kubuntu loaded.
I can confirm that the ASUS/win8 dual boots nicely with 13.04.
