Root partition displays over 400,000 items and >140TB

Is this a bug? Displaying it in TB for sure is not right. But I also wonder if it's normal to have more than 400,000 files. Even if it would count my home directory, I have only 4,000 files there which means the OS still has 396,000. But home is on another partition, so the OS alone has 400,000 files. Something is wrong there, no? When I opened file propertiesof root I could really see the progress of counting the files. I wonder if that is 'normal' for Ubuntu to have so many files installed and also what files exactly cause this huge number?

i've just checked on my raring i386 system, and get a lot items too, but the size look more normal here. I suppose you are linked to a lan/wan (watch the share tab)

by the way nautilus seems to add the index & the counted files. (bug)
