    Audacity plug-in unplugged

According to http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/No...l#Notch_Filter all that is required to have an operational Nyquist Notch Filter plug in is to place the unzipped notch.ny file in the Plug-Ins.

The notch.ny file is there. Alas the Notch Filter is NOT in Audacity's Effect menu like it's supposed to be.

Anyone know what might be going on.

    TIA

Okay, so I installed Audacity in my Xubuntu 12.10 VM and the Notch filter was available without jumping through any hoops.

    Re: Audacity plug-in unplugged

    Thanks for taking the time.

I am NOT using 12.10 AND I have an old (as in installed a long time ago) version of audacity.

I'll give re-installing it a try although, from what I gathered, that should not have been necessary.

Not sure I want to upgrade to 12.10 just to get the filter though ...
