    Lightbulb Ubuntu Global Jam 1304

This is a placeholder for our discussions about the Ubuntu Global Jam that is around the corner, we will start with a draft agenda (Jesse) and then we will take it from there

    Re: Ubuntu Global Jam 1304

Hey everyone, well for some you all may saw it on Facebook but for others who didn't see, here are some great ideas that I proposed plus some more details, they are but not limited to:

    1. Bug Finding, Triage and Fixing Session: This could be a biggest attraction for both developers and non-developers alike since it easy ti learn. So hosting a 15-30 minutes session on Introduction to Bug Triage and Fixing will be beneficial for the non-developers alike. After we will host a large bug triage and fixing session where we will communicate via irc.

    2. Documentation Session: For the inexperience in computing but prosess a strong typing skills may visit the documentation session to type documentation on various topics. An 15-30 minutes introduction to Documentation and How to make and edit a wiki page may prove great.

    3. Testing Session: This is one I hope will take place since it need no introduction, all we have to do is to install the version of Ubuntu from 12.10 upwards, test if the functions works as intended and that i. A 5 minutes introduction to using the launchpad to document the testing may be great also an additional 5 minutes should be spend on teaching how to write a testing report.

These are the proposed agenda above, if we want to open this to the public a strict register system should be implemented since space and resources are limited (unless it a big place of course), this could be done mostly by phone or email and they must confirmed their attendance.

So I hope you all read my proposal and feel free to send any comments and suggestions.

    Hello Fellow LoCo Contacts,

I wanted to encourage you to invite members of your Local Community Team's to take part in bug work and documentation work. These two areas are critical to each release cycle and getting involved in both is not as hard as it may seem. If your team would like assistance from the Bug Squad or the Documentation Team in some ideas for your Global Jam please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I would like to emphasize that the Documentation Team is currently one of the smallest in the community which means we always have lots of work that contributors can help with that will be very valuable to Ubuntu Users. Better yet there are lots of good resources for getting started on bitesize bug work.

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad

i received this email today and though that along with the bugs you can also work on the documentation, what are your thoughts guys
