No AV here either.
No AV here either.
presently have 4 machines running some version of 'buntu. Have been using ubuntu for years, no AV and no problems at all,
I don't bother with anti-virus software on my Linux computers. I haven't ran any for years and years, and have yet to ever encounter the first piece of malware.

I've been running BitDefender on my *nix file server and as of yet it has only reported false positives. I'm seriously considering removing it and just letting the Windows boxes catch anything that might get thru (which is highly unlikely).

No.
Although I have in the past, I find it wasn't worth my effort to again.

Yes, I have ClamAV. I almost never use it though because in general Linux is far more secure than Windows, and its users often have better sense than to run "hawt_pr0n.avi.exe". The only times I use it are when I'm about to run a Windows program through Wine (yes, viruses will try to run in Wine, although they have limited damage potential because they are run with Wine's permissions, and because any low-level exploit or infection technique is likely to fail in a non-perfect environment like Wine), or when I'm scanning a mounted VirtualBox image (of Windows). Every once in a while I'll run "clamscan -r ~/.wine" just to make sure Wine isn't infected, but it never has been.
I run McAfee Symantec Nortons Firewall Anti-virus malware protect titanium maximum ultra uber virus guard ultimate.
So far no viruses found.
Lisa: By your logic I could claim that this rock keeps tigers away.
Homer: Oh, how does it work?
Lisa: It doesn't work.
Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: It's just a stupid rock.
Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: But I don't see any tigers around, do you?
[Homer thinks of this, then pulls out some money]
Homer: Lisa, I want to buy your rock.
