Braid won't start

I just bought braid and I'm almost completely clueless as to how to fix the issue. Because it wouldn't start from the launch bar, I tried opening it in the terminal and I get this message

Game Startup Error: Unable to set up graphics.
Reason: Failed to initialize OpenGL display.

To help fix this problem make sure you are running the newest version of your video drivers.
Lastly, you could try running this game with the -windowed command-line option.

So I try running it in windowed mode and now at least a screen pops up, but still no image or fun. I have 11.04 on a netbook. Thanks in advance!

I don't think a netbook can handle Braid. It have some high requirements for a game in that genre. I'm talking about video card requirements.

I have this same problem on my netbook. It works fine when I boot into windows so I don't think it is the spec of the computer that is the problem. Would love a solution as I very rarely boot into windows.

Also got this problem, same terminal output. It concerns a HP mini 110 netbook with Windows Ubuntu 12.04 on it. In Windows (7 starter), the game ran fine. I also tried Xubuntu, but it won't run either. Maybe it is Xorg who is responsible for this?
Can anybody help?
