.26 Mytharchive broken?

The other problems with mytharchive/burn is the use of poorly maintained or old versions of tools.

Ages ago, in an attempt to get a successful DVD ISO, I built from source dvdauthor-0.7.0, M2VRequantiser-V1.1 & Project-X_0.91.0.
I seem to remember the cmd syntax changed with later dvdauthor.

You could try to locate the latest source for dvdauthor 0.7.1 (sourceforge).

The recordings beginning fix was committed last couple weeks.

Hi, not sure if this will help in any way.

I know when I tried to use mytharchive on an earlier version I had to use projectx to process the required file. It was under MythArchive Settings, Use ProjectX. "If set ProjectX will be used to cut commercials and split mpeg2 files instead of mythtranscode and mythreplex".

I seem to think this was to sort problems with DVB errors.

I think the use of ProjectX was a 'band-aid' over a load of other problems.

I've always had it disabled because it (ProjectX latest version) does not support H264, so I pre-cut with DIY script..

The only built-in tool that honours the cutlist & handles H264 is mythtranscode --fifo..

I recall a recent problem with mytharchive/burn when creating the menu caused by the default thumbnail image type (jpeg v.s. gif ?)..


You could look for mytharchive patches/commits & apply any fixes to non-compiled codebase.

I did and update today 27 Fed 2013 and I noticed this in the text

so I went straight in to test it?

I'm very pleased to say IT WORKS!
created 2 images to be burnt, not tested burning yet need some more DVD disc's.
