Help with Pulse Audio

Hi all,

I hope that someone can help me.

I am using Ubuntu 12.10 and Pulse Audio will only work on 2 speakers and I have a 5.1 speaker system. When I try to get pulse audio working the sound is distorted.

If I remove pulse audio, I get my 5.1 speaker system working but when I play music nothing comes through the speakers and I have all the codecs installed.

I am using a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value Sound card.

However when I use Mageia and disable pulse and play a CD using the k software to play cd's the CD plays.

I would prefer to use Ubuntu because of its large package repositories etc.

I hope that someone can help me on this list to sort out this problem.

System Settings -> Sound -> set all the tabs settings as you need
