    Free web service

On my Windows PCs I run Mc Afee's Total Protection and there is a module that evaluates web sites for security concerns. While that software is windows based there is a web based version that is free for everyone and is quite capable of assisting us on Linux. The web site is siteadvisor.com. I typically will not access any web site until I get a site advisor report on it first. I got a site advisor report on these forums before I accessed this forum for the first time, which gave these forums two thumbs up.

Not an Ubuntu support question; moved to Community Cafe.

Have you looked at Website of Trust? http://www.mywot.com/

+1 on this one. I use a WoT addon for Google Chrome and it puts a nifty little icon next to search results.
