Good afternoon.
I have spent the past few weeks trying to get any factual statements/information on the following:
- May I pre-install/build the jdk6 (sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jdk) into a public Ubuntu distro?
- If I may, what are the stipulations that come with it?
- What can I do/not do in regards to providing the jdk6 (sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jdk) in my distro as the default java/jdk?
- And any other information on what I might need to do regarding Sun/Oracle's: sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jdk. That also could/would be in a public Ubuntu distro and be downloaded and used by others?
I have found information pertaining to this subject, but, very "washy" explanations and reasons. Mostly outdated. I want to comply with Ubuntu and any of Sun/Oracle's laws/bylaws/etc.
Thank You in advance for any help or redirection.
