Unity 8 not loading,

I just did a fresh 16.10 install and tried Unity 8 under virtualbox. It doesn't even load, just goes back to the login screen. Once I login on the old Unity, I keep getting error messages. Guess I have to reinstall the whole OS. How do I fix this?
