    kernal panic recovery on laptop

My laptop running 11.04 went into kernal panic and waa unresponsive to keyboard and mouse input (not surprisingly!!). After the battery had run down, it booted with no problem at all (apart from having to wait for the battery to go down).

To save time is it safe to pull the battery out?

    TIA

all depend of your laptop: some accept to work without the battery when they are wired plugged, some others does not.

When my laptop crashes, the power button so far always worked. Did you try that?

Probably safer than pulling the battery ...
