Gnumeric & fixed format

I have a need for converting from variable column to fixed column.
Easily doable in LibreOffice but I prefer Gnumeric. Problem being I am not having success making it happen in save as/text format.

I am thinking Gnumeric does not support this but wanted to ask before re-installing LibreOffice - which takes a lot of disk space and has caused problems on numeric sort.

Not sure I understand your issue, but gnumeric can transform a variable column to a constant column: Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+Shift+V and choose Paste as values, either in the same column or another one.
