    How many of you used Evasi0n to jailbreak your iOS device on Ubuntu?!

    I did, and it worked perfectly!



    Oh, and make sure you have libimobiledevice and all those packages you need to get your iDevice recognized on Ubuntu

    Worked perfectly for me as well. Nice seeing support for Linux with a bunch of programs I have installed lately

    what exactly do i need to run it? i'm using Ubuntu 12.04, i unzipped the .tar file and tried to double click the .x86 file but nothing happened. what else do i need to do?

    Strange... I got my copy in a .zip file.


    Anyway, make sure you are running the correct version of the program - if you have 64bit, then run evasi0n.x86_64, if you have 32bit, run evasi0n.x86.

    Another way would be opening the shell script included in the archive, then choosing run in terminal (you won't have to use the terminal, but don't close it)

    I couldnt get it to work either something to do with the version of GTK2 that 12.04 runs i eventually installed it via ppa and it works fine.

    Only good thing about an android phone now is the possibility of someone porting Ubuntu to your device lol :O gonna start a flame war
