    Exclamation THANK You Canonical!

My english is not greate, but i will try to get my point.

Last time when i was using linux it was 7 years ago. it was truly disaster. On my PC there nothing worked no drivers, no support etc etc.

Now we have 2013 and have been using android phones for 2 years. I'm using windows 7 for 1 year, and i thought that maybe linux has made some progres and it's more user freindly.

i have notebook for 0,5 year so my hardware is not something super new.

i have instaled ubuntu directly from windows (thats greate! no problems with that, very good job guys!)

and there came problems.. so i loged in to ubuntu, and there is no internet... fine in windows we have also first download drivers by LAN cable not wi-fi.

but how i will download drivers!? i'm looking into internet and after 10 minutes i know the answer. there is known problem with broadcom drivers for wi-fi. everybody knows about it and know how to fix it. eerybody but not canonical... why it's not fixed yet? it very common problem as i see on forums.

so i have wi-fi! greate bu no... why my graphic card fan is so loud?! propably i need some graphic card drivers, but how i will install it?

again google... (it is so diffuclt for you - programmers to and some "android" market for drivers?)

there is answer on forums for my problem "you need to.." and ofcourse using terminal is still necesery in linux... we have XXI century and i cant do anything without using TERMINAL! WTF?! is it so difficult to and simple two clicks method for downloading drivers?

and there is not everything. after i instaled geforce drivers, i tried to log in to ubuntu, and after login screen there is nothing happening. i see wallpaper but system do not start. gr8 job. linux is so stable system so a begginer can crush it.

very good job canonical, maybe i will try to use linux in next 7 year.

Blame your graphics card maker for making installing the closed source drivers a pain.

I'd give you a support link, but this section of the forums forbids it.

[QUOTE=hajla;12481444]but how i will download drivers!?

usually there is an interface to enable drivers. current on eis foundin software sources, but previously it would pop up on top and is called jockey. then you just enable drivers the OS downloads them and that is preety much it.

you can copy and paste terminal commands into terminal. otherwise oyu can do most things with GUI, however....

...the reason people give you such instructions is because:
    1. they are faster (multiple commands can be executed in same line)
    2. there is a number of different desktop interfaces (the default Gnome&Unity, KDE, XFCE, LXDE, openbox, iceWM, E17...)anyway each has things in different places, while command line will work in all of them
    3. often same commands you will find here would work also on other linux distributions. especially debian based ones.

finally with hardware that is fully compatible wiht linux your issues are nonexistant. e.g. if you bought a linux preinstalled laptop/desktop.

Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
