How to automount a NAS folder for all local users ?

    Hi,

I cannot find any information about how to get a network shared folder to automount for all my local users ?

Also, when you mkdir a local folder in /media/ , you do it as root right ?

So how other users could access it ?

I'm willing to manually add each new created user to a given group if required but I would prefer that all users can access the network shared public folder.

    Thanks,
    flips

    Hi rastaflips.

I use 'autofs' to do that. Take a look at this community tutorial for details.

Let us know if you need more help with that.
    Regards.
