LXDE desktop environment please come in

I'm in Ubuntu ... but I wish to know if I install LXDE desktop environment
    * Where can I find the Applications?
    * Where can I find the Places?
    * Where can I find the Power On/Off button?
    * Where can I see the Wi-fi meter?
Maybe my question is very very stupid questions ... but that's what I am.

I installed LXDE desktop environment in Ubuntu 12.04 Pangolin but I unable to find the above question.
So I un-install it with using remove lubuntu from http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/pureubuntu and my Ubuntu is back ... back purely with NO applications installed

LXDE uses Openbox as the window manager and by right clicking on the desktop you will find what you are looking for, although you would have to log out so you can shutdown... I'd recommend using Lubuntu since it has been built using LXDE and has everything you ask already ready for use...
