Exclamation How to completely remove the ubuntu-desktop?

    Hi,

I installed the xfce4 and after the xubuntu-desktop in Ubuntu 12.10 x86 and I want to remove ubuntu-desktop completely. How I do this?

Just the command lines are enough?
    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-desktop
    sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-settings
    EDIT:

I want to remove all Unity, Gnome, Ubuntu applications and stay only with Xubuntu/Xfce applications, themes, icons, like a Xubuntu clean install.

You might look at the advice here. Psychocats Ubuntu Tutorials are highly recommended.

Remember that it is done at your own risk.

Why not just do an Xubuntu clean install?

Ubuntu is a OS independent of desktop.

I wonder to know if is possible to boot in safe mode, remove all desktops (Unity, XFCE, graphics libs) and reinstall only the xfce again. Lika a clean instalation. I don't want to reinstall Xubuntu.
