    Xbox 360 Controller on Ubuntu

I just bought a Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows and I followed this guide to get my controller connected.

My computer recognizes the controller and I was even able to use it while playing Portal however I ran into a complication. It seems that "up" and "down" motions on the right thumbstick are not detected.

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on an Asus X54C-BBK24.

    Hello,

I found some links you could try looking into.

    http://askubuntu.com/questions/32031...ick-or-gamepad
    http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/...oystick.4.html
    http://askubuntu.com/questions/14061...-use-a-gamepad

You might have to manually configure the setting file, but I am not positive on that. I can try and set up my Xbox or PS3 controller and see if I can make myself have your problem and figure out the solution for you.

Thanks for the help but I still can't get it completely functional. I may sound confident but I'm still a bit of a newb with Ubuntu and I'm not that competent with technology anyway

Would somebody mind breaking it down for me?

    Again, thank you very much.
