    What is the Ubuntu equivalent of( http://www.freemake.com/ )video downloader & convertor comaptible with G Chrome?

    Download helper in firefox works fine here
    Handbrake is another good tool.

    +1 to the videodownloadhelper addon for Firefox. For conversion using VDH install ffmpeg from the repo.
