Red face Windows 8 12.04 Problem

I recently downloaded 12.04 and burned the ISO to a disc. I ran wubi.exe and followed instructions, rebooting my computer, etc. However, when I restarted my computer, it gave me a "OS boot manager" to choose between windows and ubuntu. Windows runs fine. However, when i choose ubuntu, I get (not word for word, but close), this error message.

    Windows Failed to start.

    File: /ubuntu/winboot/wubildr.mbr

Info: The application or os could not be loaded because the required file is missing or contains errors

I dont know what to do. I even redownloaded ubuntu and burned it to another dvd but i got the same problem. I have a little experience with hardy heron but none with 12.04. Any help appreciated.

If you are using uefi and gpt partitioning it will not work.
