    Closing crashed games

    Hi,

    So when a game crashes on Ubuntu, you are not able to switch virtual desktops and you are not able to open up system monitor (it opens but it will not show up) So how are you supposed to close it, CTRL + ALT + F1 is a bit overkill for such an simple task.

    Alt + F4
    clear && echo paste url and press enter; read paste; (youtube-dl $paste) | zenity --progress --title="" --text "Downloading, please wait" --auto-close --pulsate && ans=$(zenity --file-selection); gnome-terminal -x mplayer "$ans"

    But how come I am not able to Alt tab or anything? I can see that it switches windows from cursor change but the game screen still stays. Kind of a weird like that.

    You can also try Alt+F2 and run xkill. Your cursor, if you can see it, will turn into an X and you can place that on any errant window and click to kill it. It may not, of course, work in a full screen game that perhaps does not show any cursor, but I'm not a gamer so have no idea.

    Yeah I set the xkill on CTRL delete hotkey. But it is no use, I opened up a game and made it freeze(basicly switch between virtual desktops or try to alttab) and then launched xkill clicked on the game but nothing.

    Re: Closing crashed games

    Okay I fixed this with using windowed mode on every game and making them manually fullscreen with Alt f11 ( had to set that hotkey manually)
    And when I need to go on another window i use the hotkey again to make the game windowed. Works like a charm
