    Brasero error

    After using Brasero fine for years it has suddenly stopped working, When I burn a data CD the simulation burning is fine but during the actual burning I have an error.

    I have looked on Google but cannot find an answer.

    Here is the end of the log:

    BraseroWodim called brasero_job_error
    BraseroWodim finished with an error
    BraseroWodim asked to stop because of an error
    error = 0
    message = "no message"
    BraseroGenisoimage stopping
    BraseroGenisoimage got killed
    BraseroGenisoimage disconnecting BraseroGenisoimage from BraseroWodim
    BraseroWodim stopping
    BraseroWodim got killed
    BraseroWodim closing connection for BraseroWodim
    Session error : unknown (brasero_burn_record brasero-burn.c:2769)

    K3b is nice but it will pull the whole KDE environment with it when you install (not that you have to use KDE to use it). You could try xfburn if you want to avoid the massive influx of otherwise superflous packages.

    Cheers

    K3b will pull in about 200M.

    To me this is a lot too, but I love the way the package is set up and just works.

    Xfburn works good too, just not set up as nice as k3b.

    Thanks for the responses! I will try another type of software. It's just strange how it has suddenly stopped working.
