    Question source of history command

From where does the history command gets the previous command names?? I know history is a library but I just wanna know that is there any kind of database involved in storing the command names as we type in the terminal or is there any kind of dynamic data structure involved...
    Thanks in advance

Look at the hidden file in your home folder called .bash_history.
I don't know if that'll help, but hey...
