hey guys i wanna develop a project management portal for my college so that guides can monitor the progress of their teams online the following are few features :
1.file management
2.grading
3.RSS feeds
4. project wall for general discussions
my question is for file management can git be used? if yes , is it possible to start a git gui running by press of a button in my front end? also what are the best tools i can use for designing the portal? currently am thinking of using java and j2ee with the netbeans IDE. any suggestions will help me a long way
