    Recover data from softraid0

    Hi guys, the mobo gone dead and on the pc had installed ubuntu 12.04 using on 2 hdd using a raid0 lvm. Can i recover the data from these disks?

    Of course. I, personally, don't know much about RAID recovery, but I do know it is completely possible. I would try putting them in a working computer and trying to access them.

    I understand so basicly putting the 2hdd's in another ubuntu box should recognize them as a soft raid volume. I'll try this monday and i'll be back if something nasty happens. Of course i have some sensitive data on those disk's. Thanks

    Yep, unless you encrypted them in anyway. You have some permission errors but you can just retake ownership of the documents. There is also TestDisk, a nice recover program.

    i haven't used encryption so it should be fine... i hope
