Visual problems with one user account after upgrade to 13.04

I ran an upgrade form 12.04 to 13.04, and everything worked fine. Then my laptop ran out of power, and when I powered it on again I have this weird problem with my personal account. When I try to log in, the loging splash screen gets stuck as a background, and I can't do anything, except switch account.

The Guest-account works fine, so I logged into that one, and tried to switch to my own. That worked, except that the desktop background is completely black, and Unity isn't very responsive when I show the desktop.

The only new software I added was dconf Editor, but I hadn't changed anything yet.

Any ideas, or should I just try a clean install? The weird thing is that was working perfectly for a couple of days, until the computer ran out of power during a lecture.

    Thanks in advance.
