I've noticed that Ubuntu 12.10 automatically mounts devices in a user specific folder of the first user that logs in after the device is connected, but I'm having a problem with this.

I have a desktop PC that I share with my wife. We have an external hard drive that is formatted in EXT4, and I created a user group that contains both of our usernames and has full permissions to the external drive. The problem is that if I log in first she is unable to browse the drive because even though she has permissions to the it, it gets automatically mounted in /media/marcus/Storage , which only my user account has permission to view.

I know I could manually edit /etc/fstab to have this drive mount in /media/Storage , but I want to change the default behavior so that everything gets mounted in /media and not the user specific folders.

This behavior is new to Ubuntu 12.10, I didn't experience this with 12.04.
