    Installing gnome display manager

    Hi gusy...after i executed this :

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install mdm mint-mdm-themes
    display becomes bad ( applications,places in top-left-corner) i don't want that style i want gnome style (when my mouse over top-left-corner all applications and my windows pop up )...please guys the new style is bad....help me

    What operating system ? Below is the description of the themes you installed.
    Themes for the MDM display manager
    If you are using Ubuntu and want to install the Gnome Shell it is in the software center. You will want to install the Gnome Tweak Tool also.

    After installation log out and in and select Gnome from the log-in list.

    My operating system is ubuntu 12.04 LTS

    Hmmmm, mdm is Mint's display manager I believe. What desktop environment are you running?
