The tags of one music album in Musepack format are not loaded by Rhythmbox (although playback works) -- in Rhythmbox 2.96, Xubuntu 12.04 and Ubuntu 12.04;
Banshee on the other hand, recognises the tags for this album.
So does gmusicbrowser.

I edited and saved these files in a tag editor.
It turns out that Rhythmbox now loads their tags.
Case closed it seems
